Brad and I met up with bonesheal from SoCal Sportbikes as well as a few people he knew. We decided to carve up the back side of Angeles Crest and then make our way to Newcombs Ranch for breakfast.

Before heading up, as we were fueling up, we saw Jeff Allen of Canyon Video by BikeCam. He followed us up to Newcombs Ranch with a buddy of his. He got some really good footage of both Brad and I that he showed us once we got to Newcombs. I was very impressed. He said he charges $150/hour to get footage of you. He told me that his tricked out R1 has got 4 cameras on it, front, rear, helmet and ?. He's got more than enough skill to keep up with even the fastest riders. There were a couple of times that I tried to outrun him . . no dice. In fact, he passed me when he wanted so he could get some footage of me from the front (using his rear camera).

Once we reached Newcombs Ranch, we got some breakfast and hung out for a bit. Everyone except Brad and I decided to wrap things up for the day. Brad & I decided to head over to the Santa Monica Mtns. to meet up with some other SoCal Sportbikers at the Rock Store.

The weather on Angeles Crest was sweet, at least above about 3000 feet. Below that it was foggy and didn't get any better on our way to the Santa Monica Mtns. In fact, it got worse. Once we finally got there we saw Kenzo, Kato, (both on RC-51s) AfroThunder and PoPo. We told them how great the weather was on the Crest and they decided to head over there. Brad and I, being family men and close to home, decided to call it a day.
